St Patrick’s Day STEM Booklet

This booklet has 5 STEM challenges based on the theme of St Patrick’s Day. The challenges are designed to be open ended using supplies that can usually be found in any classroom.

If you are using these activities as a casual/relief teacher, you may want to bring in a box of supplies to ensure that all activities can be explored. Your STEM box could include some little mirrors, magnify glasses, plastic cups, straws, blu tac, sticky tape, cardboard, glue etc

The STEM challenges have a corresponding template that students can use to explore their ideas. The activities can be completed in groups or individually.

1. Design and build a money box that will keep your coins safe from a leprechaun.
2. Create a rainbow so that the leprechaun can find some treasure.
3. Make a four-leaf clover fly.
4. Build a bridge that will hold a pot of gold.
5. Build a boat for your treasure.
