Reading Response Booklet

This product has been designed to be used as a literacy group activity. Students can read with their reading group and enhance their comprehension of the text by reflecting and completing this worksheet.
There are two sections to the worksheet. The first is a written response where they have to summarise what the book is about. The second section is a drawing response where the teacher can instruct the students on what kind of drawing it should be. It could be a sequencing drawing, flow chart, map, favourite part etc.
The booklet itself is made up of a title page that the students can personalise and 10 copies of the same worksheet so that students can use the reading response booklet repeatedly during literacy groups.

‘Monster Addition and Subtraction’ Game

Students count their monster’s teeth to help them work out the answers.

Simply print and laminate the cards to play.

Instructions to play include;

Print and cut out all monster sheets and monster cards.
Laminate the monster cards with the addition and subtraction sums.
Shuffle cards and put them in a pile in the middle.
Each child needs a monster sheet with teeth.
Each child picks a card from the top of the pile and completes the sum by folding the monster’s  teeth up or down on their monster sheet.
